I would like to introduce myself:

I am Dara Leslie. Born in the NY area and raised in the South.  I feel I have both Northern and Southern roots.  Maybe that's why I cannot choose between, the beaches of Florida, or the parks of the city.  Doesn’t matter, I hope you enjoy both.  My passion for Parks, stems from my childhood.  I remember my parents taking me through Central Park.  This is one of my fondest memories.  I’ve returned since many times.  I never tire from this natural beauty.  There is nothing like it.  A gorgeous park set just inside a busy city.  It’s a place to find serenity in a sometimes, crazy world.

As I paint this beautiful park, I feel so alive.  Like I’ve become a part of it.  It’s the passion inside that comes alive on paper.  I hope you feel it too. At the beaches, they say once you put your foot on the sand you will always return.  This is what my mother told me.  We would come to Florida every summer and visit my grandmother. Then to my surprise, we moved there!  What a feeling, sitting on the beach with the sand in your feet, the sun on your face and the wind in your hair.  I love to just watch the waves slam against the white sandy beaches bringing treasures from the depth of the ocean.  Then as fast as you can, run and try to retrieve them before they are swallowed back by the sea. 

My Artwork is an expression of those wonderful times trying to come alive.  I hope your visit onto this site brings you as much joy as BEING the artist brings to me. Thanks for coming.
